And now, another report has surfaced about Samsung’s Galaxy M series, which is said to replace the company’s current Galaxy J and Galaxy On series. According to a report in IANS that quotes industry insiders, Samsung will be launching its new Galaxy M series in India in January 2019. The consumer electronics giant will be unveiling three smartphones under its Galaxy M series next month, and this will mark the global launch of the much-talked-about range by Samsung. Considering that Samsung’s Galaxy J and Galaxy On series were very successful in India before Xiaomi started dominating the budget segment, we are not surprised by the company’s decision to keep the global launch of the range here. It only goes to show that Samsung is planning to recapture the market that it was leading till a few years back. Coming back to the report in IANS, it went on to say that Samsung Galaxy M series will be launched with industry-first features. We should mention that smartphones under Galaxy M series – Galaxy M10, Galaxy M20, Galaxy M30 and Galaxy M50 – have been spotted on Geekbench. However, some reports have suggested that instead of Galaxy M10, Galaxy M20, Galaxy M30 and Galaxy M50, these smartphones would be called Galaxy M1, Galaxy M2, Galaxy M3 and Galaxy M5 when they will be launched. According to the listing on Geekbench, Samsung Galaxy M30 smartphone will be powered by the company’s own Exynos 7885 processor and will pack 4GB of RAM. Besides launching the new Galaxy M series, Samsung is also working to revamp its Galaxy A series. In fact, this year we have seen two devices from the company’s Galaxy A series – Samsung Galaxy A7 (2018) and Samsung Galaxy A9 (2018). Both are photography-centric devices and while the former comes with a triple rear camera setup, the latter houses quad cameras on its back panel.
