Samsung Galaxy S series pricing and availability
The company launched three smartphones under its S20 series namely Samsung Galaxy S20, S20 Plus and S20 Ultra. The Galaxy S20 will be priced at $999 that translates to Rs 71,126 whereas Galaxy S20 Plus comes at $1,199 that translates to Rs 99,800. Lastly S20 Ultra will be carrying a price tag of $1,399 that translates to Rs 99,800. The preorders will commence from February 21 onwards. The company has not revealed the Indian pricing and availability but soon the devices will arrive in the Indian market.
Samsung Galaxy S20 specifications
The device runs on One UI 2.0 based on the top of Android 10. It features a 6.2-inch QHD+ Dynamic AMOLED screen (Infinity-O display) with 1,440×3,200 pixels of resolution. It offers a high refresh rate of 120Hz. Under the hood, there is a 7nm octa-core Exynos 990 processor or will get Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 in select markets. It will be offered with 12GB RAM and 128GB inbuilt storage that can be expanded up to 1TB using a microSD card. For biometrics, the company has provided Ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor and face unlock feature. It is IP68 certified for dust and water resistance.
For photos, there is a triple rear camera set up consisting of a 12-megapixel wide-angle sensor with f/1.8 aperture, a 64-megapixel telephoto sensor with f/2 aperture and a 12-megapixel ultra-wide sensor with f/2.2 aperture. The camera set up also supports 3x Hybrid Optic Zoom and 30x Super-Resolution Zoom. For selfies, there is a 10-megapixel autofocus sensor with f/2.2 aperture. Galaxy S20 packs a 4000mAh battery supported by 25W fast charger, wireless charging and PowerShare support.
Samsung Galaxy S20+ specifications
The Smartphone is similar to S20 in some aspects. Starting with the differences first, Galaxy S20+ as a 6.7-inch QHD+ Dynamic AMOLED screen(Infinity-O display) with 1,440×3,200 pixels of resolution. It comes with a larger battery with a capacity of 4,500mAh with wireless charging and PowerShare support. The device is powered by the same processor coupled with 12GB of RAM and with two storage options of 128GB and 512GB. Both the storage options can be expanded up to 1TB via a microSD card.
Here in Galaxy S20+, you get an additional camera sensor which means the device features a quad-camera set up. The setup consists of an additional rear depth camera that makes use of the ToF feature for better subject recognition. Else all the other camera sensors including the selfie camera are the same as the Galaxy S20.
Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra specifications
Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra is the biggest among the other two siblings. You get a 6.9-inch QHD+ Dynamic AMOLED screen (Infinity-O display) with a pixel count of 511ppi. Here also the same goes for the processor you get either Exynos 990 or Snapdragon 865 processor with two RAM options of 12GB and 16GB paired with 128GB or 512GB. Both the storage options can be expanded up to 1TB via a microSD card.
The camera set up of Galaxy S20 Ultra consists of a 108-megapixel camera sensor with an f/1.8 aperture along with a 48-megapixel telephoto sensor with f/3.5 aperture. Further assisted by a 12-megapixel ultra-wide sensor with f/2.2 aperture and a ToF VGA camera. The camera system supports 10x Hybrid Optic Zoom and 100x Super-Resolution Zoom. On the front, there is a 40-megapixel selfie camera with f/2.2 aperture. The device houses a 5000mAh battery that is supported by 45W fast charging it also supports wireless charging and PowerShare feature.
