The availability of picture-in-picture mode on Meet for Chrome browsers has been announced by Google on its official blog. While on a Google Meet call on the web, users will now be able to see up to four tiles of meeting participants. On Chrome, tap the three-dot menu symbol next to the hang-up button to get the Picture-in-Picture option.
While announcing the new features, the company via blog post said, “We’re bringing picture-in-picture to Google Meet to Chrome browsers on the web. You’ll be able to see up to four video tiles of meeting attendees in a floating window on top of other applications.” In addition to this Google Meet is also getting a variety of other video options. Instead of just one video source, users can now pin numerous video feeds. According to the company, this will provide greater flexibility in how you combine people and content, allowing you to adjust the view in a way that best serves your meeting.
In terms of availability all Google Workspace subscribers, as well as existing G Suite Basic and Business clients, have access to the picture-in-picture and multi-pinning capabilities for Google Meet users and is already being rolled out. Moreover, users with personal Google Accounts can also take advantage of it. For the latest gadget and tech news, and gadget reviews, follow us on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.
