While there isn’t anything that the renders reveal that has not been reported about yet, it is worth mentioning that they have a massive square-shaped hole on them. We should point out that renders of the upcoming 2019 iPhones suggest that it will sport a huge camera module that has three lenses arranged triangularly. Although renders should always be taken with a pinch of salt, especially when they surface online months ahead of launch, the fact that case makers are actually building products around them adds some credibility to them. But then, it may just also mean that the case makers are just having their product ready before the competition just in case the iPhone 11 actually ends up looking like this. However, if we assume that these cases are accurate, it may take some time for us to get used to the idea of Apple going for a giant camera module on its back panel. It has also been reported that Apple plans to use enhanced selfie cameras in its 2019 iPhones. Instead of using a 7MP selfie camera, the company is said to have plans to use a 12MP front-facing snapper. But, in order to add this camera, Apple would not be reducing the size of pixels. This would bring the megapixel count of the front snapper of iPhones in line with their rear cameras. It has also been reported that the Cupertino-based technology giant will be adding a slightly faster lens in its selfie camera. All of this is said to contribute to the low-light performance of the smartphone’s camera.
Apple will reportedly use a black coating on some lenses of the iPhone so that they blend in with the body of the device. While this would not make the lenses look entirely invisible, it will make them appear neater than they do on other smartphones. Besides this, the Cupertino-based technology giant will also come with upgraded rear cameras. The successor of iPhone XR (review) will be coming with a dual camera setup on its back panel with a telephoto lens. This will be the first time that Apple will be using two cameras on its affordable iPhone.
