Use saved audio for your Instagram story
Step 1: Click on the hamburger menu at the top right corner of your Instagram profile and go to the saved folder.
Step 2: This is where you will find all the Reels audio you have saved in the past. Scroll to the audio you wish to use on your Instagram Story and remember the song title.
Step 3: Now go back to your Instagram homepage and click on ‘Your Story’ at the top left corner of the screen to add a story.
Step 4: Take a picture or a video and tap the sticker icon on the top menu.
Step 5: Select the music sticker and search for the song you wish to add as the background music.
Step 6: Tap on the song and select the placement of the sticker. Tap on ‘Done’ at the top right corner of the screen to post the story with the music.
How to add downloaded audio from your device to your Instagram Story
You can also add any audio saved on your device locally to your Instagram Story. While Instagram does not let you add any local audio directly, you can use a third-party app to stitch the audio to your Story and then upload it on Instagram. Here’s how you can do it. Step 1: Go to Instagram and click on ‘Your Story’ at the top left corner of the screen to add a story. Step 2: If you’re adding a video as your Story, make sure you mute it after you’re done recording the video.
Step 3: Click on the three dots and save the Story to your device. Press back and go back to your Instagram homepage while discarding all changes. Step 4: Now you need to add the downloaded audio on your device to this video. You can do this by using any basic video editing app like CapCut or Video Sound Editor. Step 5: Once you’ve added the audio, save the changes and open Instagram again. Step 6: Tap on ‘Your Story’ and add the recently edited video from the gallery to your Story.
