Here’s how you can block YouTube channels from appearing on your Smart TV
While some Smart TVs let you report offensive content on YouTube, the option of blocking a YouTube Channel can still be inaccessible. Luckily, there is a quick workaround that’ll keep certain channels blocked on your Smart TV. You will, however, require another device for this process. Step 1: Sign in to YouTube on your Laptop or Phone with the YouTube account you use on your Smart TV. Step 2: Visit the page of the YouTube Channel you wish to block. Step 3a: If you’re using the YouTube app on your phone, click on the ellipses at the top right end of your screen and hit the ‘Block user’ button.
Step 3b: If you’re using the YouTube website on your laptop, go to the ‘About’ section on the YouTube channel and click on the small flag that appears on the right side of your screen below the stats graphic. Click ‘Block user’.
Step 4: Log in to YouTube using your Smart TV. The changes you made to your account will apply across all devices you log in using that account. As a result, you will not be able to view the blocked channel on your Smart TV.
