Launched in 2018, Google’s Smart Compose features suggests ways to finish the sentence to its users. And now, with upgrades, Google says that the feature will also be able to “can now adapt to the way you write.” So while earlier you had to opt for the pre-written Smart Compose suggests saving time, the feature will have to adapt to your writing style to suggest replies that look like they have actually written by you. To be more specific, technology giant Google has said that now, the Smart Compose feature will remember your preferred way of greeting people. However, the company does not provide any other key details other than this. Besides this, Smart Compose will also suggest lines based on the text of the user’s email.
The company has also said that Smart Compose has saved Gmail users from typing “over 1 billion characters each week” on its desktop version. It also said that the upgraded version of Smart Compose will now be available on Android devices, and will soon be available on iOS too. Coming to Schedule Messages, it is a more straight-forward update to Gmail. So, once you complete typing an email, you can now click the arrow next to the ‘Send’ button in the compose window of your inbox. This will bring up the scheduler and users will be able to choose from pre-sets or add a particular time when you wish to send the email. Earlier, emails could be scheduled Gmail via third-party extensions. However, having the feature in-built will definitely make it more convenient for a lot of users as not everyone installs third-party extensions. When communicating across different time zones, the feature can prove to be an extremely useful one. A few days back, Google also rolled out support for AMP on Gmail, however, till now, the update is available as a beta in G Suite. According to the company, the support for AMP in Gmail is designed to make emails seem more like an interactive webpage so that users would not have to go to a browser for the same experience.
