Tencent Holdings’ Call of Duty: Mobile managed to attract 35 million games from the day of its launch becoming the highest-profile game developed by Tencent Games who also developed another popular mobile game — PUBG Mobile. As said, the game was launched on October 1st across the world on Google Play and App Store. The game is available everywhere except Mainland China, Vietnam and Belgium. The game was announced by Activision earlier this year and then they collaborated with Tencent Games to produce Call of Duty: Mobile. “The response from fans across both Android and iOS has been amazing. Already, Call of Duty: Mobile has surpassed 35 million downloads on its way to becoming the #1 ranked iOS app in downloads overall, not only among games but also among all apps, in 100 countries and regions,” stated Rob Kostich, president, Activision. “This is an incredibly fun experience, and we’re only getting started. Congratulations to the teams at Activision and at our partner Tencent’s TiMi Studios for making such a great game for players. And special thanks to our fans for their continued support. There is a ton more to look forward to as we release more content and updates” stated the company. For the unknown, Call of Duty: Mobile is a free-to-play first-person shooter game on mobile that brings new maps, competitive modes, iconic characters and signature weapons and will also include Battle Royale mode and 100 players on the map. Inspired by graphics of the PC game, it has fast become a hot favourite amongst mobile gamers. As per a report, India contributed approximately 14% — largest number of game downloads, followed by the United States with 9% of installs. According to Sensor Tower, a market analyst, Call of Duty: Mobile has already earned $2 million so far. The company is now gearing up to launch its next on-mobile entry in the series Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, which will go live from October 5 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
