The 49mm titanium casing and flat sapphire front crystal of the Apple Watch Ultra reveal the largest and brightest Apple Watch display to date. Instant access to a variety of helpful features is provided by a configurable Action button. The battery life of the Apple Watch Ultra is the longest of any Apple Watch, lasting up to 36 hours with typical use. Additionally, a new low-power level can increase battery life to up to 60 hours, making it perfect for multi-day excursions.
The new rugged watch has a compass incorporated into the dial and is made specifically for the larger Apple Watch Ultra display. It also has the capacity for up to eight complications. Three additional bands—Trail Loop, Alpine Loop, and Ocean Band. Three in-built microphones on the Apple Watch Ultra considerably enhance voice calls in any environment. Voice is captured using microphones while ambient background noise is reduced by an adaptive beamforming technique, producing remarkably clear audio. Apple Watch Ultra uses cutting-edge wind noise-reduction methods, including machine learning, to deliver crystal-clear, understandable audio for calls in difficult windy settings. The accuracy dual-frequency GPS includes both L1 and the most recent frequency, L5, as well as new positioning algorithms for the first time ever in an Apple Watch. The most exact GPS of any Apple Watch to date is provided by Apple Watch Ultra, giving users the most accurate distance, pace, and route statistics for working out and competing. The Apple Watch Ultra runs watchOS 9, which has new sophisticated running metrics like stride length, ground contact time, vertical oscillation, and running power to gauge performance. Due to the bigger display, Apple Watch Ultra is the only Apple Watch that can show six metrics at once. New Workout Views like Segments, Splits, and Elevation deliver crucial stats at a glance. With features like Heart Rate Zones, Custom Workouts, Pacer, and, later this year, Race Route, users can advance their training. The new Multisport workout incorporates autodetection to make switching between workouts easy for triathlons, duathlons, or other events involving any combination of swimming, biking, or running. Most users of Apple Watch Ultra have enough battery life to finish a long-course triathlon, which entails a 2.4-mile swim, a 112-mile cycle ride, and a 26.2-mile full marathon. The Action button allows users to jump to the next leg of a Multisport workout or the next interval of a Custom Workout instantaneously. Additionally, it may be used to identify segments, completing the new Track running experience, which automatically gives runners at a track the best pace and distance estimations. In watchOS 9, the Compass app has had a complete overhaul and now offers three different views and more detailed information. The software shows a brand-new hybrid view that combines a digital view with an analogue compass dial. A second view that contains latitude, longitude, elevation, incline, and an orienteering view with Compass Waypoints and Backtrack may be accessed by turning the Digital Crown. Compass Waypoints are an efficient and practical way to annotate a place or point of interest inside the app. A waypoint is dropped when the Action button is pressed or the Compass Waypoint icon is tapped. The waypoint can then be changed by touching the corresponding icon. When a user gets lost or disoriented and needs assistance retracing their travels, Backtrack uses GPS data to generate a path that shows where they’ve been. When off the grid, it can also activate automatically in the background. Users can rapidly start or examine a Backtrack or drop a Compass Waypoint with only one click of the Action button. If people are lost or hurt, an 86-decibel siren is intended for emergencies and can help call attention to a place. With the new Oceanic+ app, Apple Watch Ultra is made for water sports, including extreme ones like kitesurfing and wakeboarding as well as recreational scuba diving to 40 metres. Apple Watch Ultra is WR100 approved to support these scuba diving excursions. Additionally, the Apple Watch Ultra has received certification to EN 13319, an internationally recognised standard for dive gear that includes depth gauges used by recreational divers all over the world.
